I resumed painting in 2022 after a hiatus of over 20 years. Though much has transpired, I continue to focus on the issue of beauty in art. Because the question “what is beauty?” may never be resolved, I continue to paint—not in search of any answer, but instead in fulfillment of a need and desire to create. Though this may contradict any impulse to search for beauty, it does imply acceptance of change and transition and the need for flexibility of beliefs and opinions as time passes.
So, I just keep indulging in the long-standingly upheld art practice of painting with an intuitive approach that explores the interaction of form, colors, shapes, space, and texture. It is all that I can do.
